improvements to the Little Dog Park to foster greater community and make it a more <br />popular destination for citizens of Louisville. <br />2) Little Dog Park is hot and aesthetically uninteresting. Gravel size and shape hurts small <br />dog' paws. <br />3) Bringing little dogs into the big dog section can cause accidents and be dangerous to <br />little dogs and their owners. Having an aesthetically pleasing little dog park would create <br />a safe place for owners and pets. <br />4) Suggestion to add greenery, shade and more places to sit. <br />5) Having a more accessible place to gather with pets and citizens could be an asset to the <br />community. <br />6) Water is needed for the little dog park. <br />7) There is currently a large red ant colony in the area, posing a hazard. Discussion around <br />red ant removal. <br />8) Louisville is on a 2 year budget cycle; improvements for the dog park area are slated for <br />2023. Suggestion to bring topic to incoming Council and get involved in the park design <br />for Cottonwood Park. <br />7. Design Build Services for Median Landscape Renovations, 70% Update: <br />A. Median project was awarded to Designscapes Colorado and Design Concepts for $275,000 in <br />2019 and $275,000 in 2020. <br />B. Priorities and objectives: <br />1) Work with what we have rather than reinventing the wheel. <br />2) Inspect irrigation systems <br />3) Begin and end each corridor with a focus on a pop of color in the form of annual plant <br />beds <br />4) Tree removal/replacement; placement of new trees, variety a trees. <br />5) Vegetation removal/replacement <br />6) Keep budget considerations in mind <br />7) Schedule: 8 week period for construction, starting with Via Appia <br />8. Sid Copeland Water Treatment Facility Building Addition and Tree Replacement — <br />Information/Courtesy Update <br />A. 900 square foot addition to existing administration building <br />B. Construction planned for early 2020 <br />C. Two trees will be removed to allow for construction; 4-6 trees will be planted in their place. <br />Placement consideration given to existing utilities and views from neighbors. <br />9.
