The seven witnesses were sworn in by the Secretary: Cody Mitchell, General Manager of Sam's Club, <br />550 S. McCaslin Blvd.; D.J. Droege, 215 Harper Street, Meagan Feldmayer, 740 Bella Vista Drive, <br />Drew P. William, 215 Harper Street, Anthony Wayne Smith, 508 W. Eisenhower Drive, Ann Pritchard, <br />601 Main Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill asked several questions of Cody Mitchell. He asked how long Sam's Club has been open, and <br />the number of customers they have per day, and from what areas are being served by the Louisville store. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell stated that Sam's Club opened on February 12, 1999 and averages about 1,200 customers <br />per day, 1,300 - 1,400 per day on the weekend. He estimated the total transactions to be 10,000 per <br />week. Mr. Mitchell stated that the store customers have included residents from Longmont to <br />Westminster and from Brighton to Nederland. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill asked questions ofD.J. Droege. He asked if she was over 21, a resident of the City of Louisville <br />and on occasion did she purchases alcoholic beverages, and did she feel that there was a need for a retail <br />liquor store at this location. Also if the license was granted how would she utilize the liquor store. <br /> <br />D.J. Droege answered affirmatively to all questions. She stated that she was going back to school and <br />her income and time are at a minimum. Shopping at Sam's Club would allow her to make one-stop <br />shopping and get competitive prices. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill then asked questions of Anthony Wayne Smith. He asked if he was familiar with the other retail <br />liquor stores in Louisville and whether he had patronized any of them. He asked whether Mr. Smith felt <br />that there was a need for another store at this particular setting in Sam's Club and why. <br /> <br />Anthony Wayne Smith responded that he was familiar with other retail liquor stores in Louisville and had <br />patronized one or two. He felt that there was a need for the liquor store license at Sam's Club for <br />customer convenience. <br /> <br />Mr. Dill next asked questions ofMeagan Feldmayer. He asked is she had visited any of the other five <br />retail liquor stores in Louisville and whether there was a wide selection available at these stores. He asked <br />if she felt there was a need for another retail liquor store. <br /> <br />Meagan Feldmayer stated that she had visited other liquor stores in Louisville, which had a wide selection <br />of alcohol. She felt that there was a need for this license for the convenience of the customers shopping at <br />Sam' s Club. <br /> <br />Mr. Dillon asked questions of the group of sworn-in witnesses. He asked if all felt the same as those he'd <br />interviewed prior. Did they all feel that the statements of the three previous witnesses represented the <br />needs and desires of the neighborhood? <br /> <br />All witnesses answered affirmatively. <br /> <br />Kimmett asked if any of the witnesses were employees of Sam's Club. <br /> <br />Several comments that they were currently employed by Sam' Club. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
