Attorney Bynum submitted two letters from two Louisville residents, Craig R. Malley and Rick Natter, <br />who were in favor of the application. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeff.ers marked the letters as Exhibits 1 and 2, and asked if any Authority member objected to <br />those letters being entered into the record. <br /> <br />There were no objections. <br /> <br />Mr. Max Scott, owner of Oedipus, Inc., a survey company, was sworn in the give testimony about the <br />survey he conducted to determine the needs of the neighborhood for RedStone Brewery Bar & Grill. <br />He asked that the original copy of the survey be marked as Exhibit 3. He stated that the packet consisted <br />of five sets of petitions and a transmittal letter dated July 19, 1999. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeff.ers marked those Exhibits as 3 and 4, and asked if any Authority member objected to <br />those exhibits being entered into the record. <br /> <br />There were no objections. <br /> <br />Mr. Scott stated that the survey circulation area was the downtown business areas and then various <br />residential a?eas within the city. The survey on businesses was conducted on Thursday, 8, 1999 and <br />residences were surveyed on Sunday, July 11, 1999. He stated that persons participating in the survey <br />could respond for or against the application and could comment as appropriate. He reviewed the survey <br />results, 327 signatures in favor of the application. Of those, 45 were business, and 282 were residents. <br />The survey reflected 20 residents were opposed to the application. The results of the survey showed that <br />96.23% participating in the survey were in favor of the application. <br /> <br />There were no questions of Mr. Scott. <br /> <br />Chairperson Jeffers if there were any interested parties in the audience who wished to speak in opposition <br />of the application.
