RESOLUTION NO. 9, <br />SERIES 2008 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING SUPPORT OF AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 17 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO REVISE THE CITY'S REGULATIONS <br />CONCERNING THE PARKING AND STORAGE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, <br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, TRAILERS, DUMPSTERS, ROLL -OFFS <br />AND PORTABLE STORAGE UNITS. <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Louisville Planning Commission an <br />application to amend certain sections of Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code to revise the <br />City's regulations concerning the parking and storage of motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, <br />trailers, dumpsters, roll -offs and portable storage units; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff has reviewed the information submitted and found it to <br />comply with Louisville zoning regulations and other applicable sections of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code. <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearings on April 17, 2008 and May 8, 2008, <br />where evidence and testimony were entered into the record, including the findings in the <br />Louisville Planning Commission Staff Reports dated April 17, 2008 and May 8, 2008, the <br />Planning Commission finds that said resolution should be approved, with the following <br />conditions: <br />Sec. 17.20.160. Motor vehicle Rparking limitations. <br />A. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle, or for any person as owner, <br />lessee, tenant or occupant of any residential lot to permit a motor vehicle to be <br />parked, in the front yard of a residential lot except on the paved driveway which is <br />intended for parking or access to the garage or carport, or on an improved surface <br />adjacent to a paved driveway <br />B. On residential lots, no more than two motor vehicles may be parked on any <br />area of the lot other than within a fully enclosed structure or on the paved driveway <br />which is intended for parking or access to the garage or carport. A motor vehicle <br />which is parked or stored on an improved surface adjacent to a paved driveway, or in <br />a rear yard, a side yard, or a side yard adjacent to the street shall be counted towards <br />the limit of two such vehicles. No more than one such motor vehicle may be an <br />inoperable vehicle as defined in section 8.16.040.D.1 of this code. <br />C. & motor vehicle which is parked in a rear yard, a side yard, or a side yard adjacent <br />to the street shall be screened by a solid fence enclosure. Such fence enclosure shall <br />be six feet in height and shall be constructed in full compliance with this code, <br />including vision clearance requirements. <br />Imo.
