Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: July 31, 2000 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Mr. Macchiaroli: Yes. <br /> <br />Mr. Macchiaroli stated that he has been involved with the majority of the Noodles & Company <br />openings and is responsible for training cashiers on alcohol service. He stated that Noodle's has <br />a "one ID for one drink" policy and that generally people do not purchase more than one <br />alcoholic beverage to accompany their meal. Mr. Macchiaroli continued that a manager <br />monitors the cashier area, where alcoholic beverages are sold. This manager also oversees the <br />seating area, including the patio. <br /> <br />Mr. Macchiaroli stated that he operates as manager for approximately three weeks at .any new <br />Noodles & Company. He added that he is TIP certified and is enrolled in the TIP Training -- <br />certification program August 8th and 9th 2000. Additionally, he offered that all managers are <br />required to go through the TIP program and that new managers are not registered with the state <br />until they have had adequate alcohol enforcement training and on the job experience. <br /> <br />Mr. Macchiaroli asked members if they had any questions for him concerning the operations of <br />Noodles & Company restaurants. Chairperson Myers indicated there were no questions at this <br />time. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked Mr. Weigand if he had any witnesses to speak tO the needs and desires <br />of the neighborhood. Mr. Weigand responded that he did and introduced Mr. Steve Sanders. <br /> <br />The witness stated his name and address, Mr. Steve Sanders, 1390 Caledonia Circle, Louisville, <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />The Deputy City Clerk asked the witness to raise his right hand and proceeded with the oath. <br />"Do you solemnly swear or affirm under penalty of perjury that the testimony you are about to <br />give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." <br /> <br />Mr. Sanders: Yes. <br /> <br />Mr. Sanders stated that he has been a Louisville resident for many years and has operated <br />restaurants in the past. He continued that he could vouch for the type of restaurant operated by <br />Noodles & Company and that he supported the establishment owning a Hotel & Restaurant <br />liquor license. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if any members of the Authority had questions of the applicant or the <br />witness. None heard. <br /> <br />Attorney Kelly asked Mr. Weigand if he had any other witnesses present to speak at the public <br />hearing. Mr. Weigand responded that another witness had been scheduled but has not appeared <br />to speak. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked if there was any interested party in the audience who wished to speak <br /> <br /> <br />
