Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: December 17, 2001 <br /> <br />B. Letter to Licensee - Blue Parrot Caf6 <br /> <br />Paul Weissmann of the Blue Parrot Cafe introduced himself and stated that he was available to <br />answer any Authority questions or concerns referred to in the Authority letter of November 28, <br />2001. <br /> <br />Deputy City Clerk Bolte reported that the Authority had concerns ~vith a juvenile employee having <br />access the liquor storage area. She stated that a letter was drafted and forwarded to the Blue Parrot <br />Caf6, giving them the opportunity to respond to the letter or appear before the Authority. She <br />stated that Mr. Weissmann filed a letter explaining the circumstances and verified that he would <br />appear before the Authority. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Weissmann stated that the incident involved a juvenile in possession of a bottle of rum. <br />He explained that the liquor storage is located in the basement and a set of keys is located behind <br />the bar for use by the bartenders and the liquor distributors. The incident occurred in February of <br />2001, and according to the police report, the juvenile employee had access to the keys. He <br />emphasized that the key policy was changed after the incident, and the employee terminated. He <br />stated that it had not been confirmed that the bottle came from the Blue Parrot. <br /> <br />Member Jeffers asked Mr. Weissmann what the hours of operation are for the Blue Parrot. <br />Weissmann stated that they open 8a.m. seven days a week, Friday and Saturday they serve until <br />10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday they serve until 9:00 p.m. <br /> <br />C. Transfer Application - Seo, Inc., d/b/a Bungalow Wine & Spirits - Retail Liquor Store <br /> License w/Delivery Permit - 645 S. Boulder Road. <br /> <br />Deputy City Clerk Bolte stated that attorney for the licensee, Carl Ream, phoned her today and <br />requested a continuance to the January 28, 2002 meeting, as they have been unable to obtain a <br />sublease agreement from the landlord. Bolte stated that Attorney Ream is working with the attorney <br />for the landlord and that the transfer applicant is currently operating on a temporary permit. <br /> <br />Member Kfmmett moved to continue the application for transfer of Seo, Inc., d/b/a Bungalo~v <br />Wine & Spirits - Retail Liquor Store License - 645 S. Boulder Road, to the next regularly scheduled <br />meeting January 28, 2002. MembcrJeffers seconded the motion. All members were in favor, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> <br />A. Incident Report - Druids Arms (9/29/01) - Tabled from 10/29/01 & 11/19/01 <br /> <br />Deputy City Clerk Bolte stated that the Authority ordered a show cause hearing for part of the <br />alleged violations contained in the incident report.
