Engagement <br />Strategy <br />Facilitate the establishment <br />of a vision statement and <br />group agreements for the EDI <br />Task Force to establish a <br />positive work culture for the <br />group and review workplan1 <br />• Work with EDI Task Force to <br />create an asset map and <br />inventory of pertinent <br />organizations, stakeholders, <br />and neighborhoods (by ward) <br />to include in the EDI <br />outreach. <br />• Set topic areas for five (5) <br />virtual focus groups with <br />diverse constituent groups <br />• Plan to provide necessary <br />support and resources to <br />ensure focus groups are <br />accessible and inclusive (sign <br />language interpretation, <br />Spanish language <br />interpretation, etc.) <br />1.5 <br />Public Engagement <br />• Organize and conduct five (5) <br />$30,000 <br />July - August <br />virtual focus groups with <br />2021 <br />diverse constituent groups. <br />1.6 <br />Summarize <br />• Distill community feedback <br />$5,000 <br />August - <br />Community <br />into actionable summaries <br />September <br />Feedback and Note <br />for the EDI Task Force. <br />2021 <br />EDI Strategic <br />Priorities <br />• Review preliminary results <br />from community engagement <br />with EDI Task Force and rank <br />strategic priorities and <br />potential mitigation <br />strategies for Council <br />consideration. <br />1.7 <br />Present Report for <br />• Draft a report summarizing <br />$5,000 <br />September — <br />Final Edits and <br />community feedback and <br />October 2021 <br />• Per the RFP, focus groups and community engagement will, "Identify what issues are most important to address to make Louisville a more <br />welcoming place for people of any race, background, gender identity, nationality, religion, or economic status to live visit shop, use city <br />services, and or work, such as land use, transportation, and business related issues (attraction , development and retention of racially diverse <br />business owners; Procurement; and patronage of Louisville businesses, and may identify other issues as well develop discrete well written short <br />term and long term recommendations to identify the following focusing on community aspects of EDI versus the internal organizational <br />operations of the city." <br />GRAVES CIVIC SOLUTIONS 2021.
