Historical Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 19, 2008 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />1. The Louisville Historian has been mailed. <br />2. The next issue of the Historian will feature an article by Harry <br />Mayor about Louisville residents' visits to Eldorado Springs. <br />VIII. Committee Reports <br />A. Facility Management <br />1. Museum Campus Project Summary 2008-2009 was reviewed. <br />2. Fencing is completed <br />3. The Ferguson and Enrietto/DiSalle families are donating $900 each <br />for benches on the Museum campus. The Commission agreed to <br />pay any additional costs for shipping, installation, and plaques. <br />B. Community Education <br />1. Anne Robinson will facilitate the first Book Club meeting on January <br />7, 2009, 6:30 p.m. at the Library <br />2. The Oral History Training Workshop was held on November 22, <br />2009 at the Library with the Museum Coordinator, Commission <br />members, interested citizens from Louisville, and representatives <br />from the cities of Lafayette and Superior. The workshop was <br />presented by Anne Dyni and Liz McCutcheon, who conduct oral <br />history interviews for the Carnegie Branch Library for Local History. <br />C. Events and Fund-raising <br />1. Parade of Lights Open House Volunteers: Pat Seader, Virginia <br />Caranci, Diane Marino, Sean Moynihan, Aline Steinbaugh, Dave <br />Ferguson. <br />2. Parade of Lights Open House Refreshments: Virginia Caranci, <br />Alice Koerner, Donna Hauswald Decoration of Museum and Tomeo <br />House: Dave Ferguson, Don Ross, Donna Hauswald <br />3. Holiday Home Tour <br />a. Three sponsors have donated $200: Liberty Home Loans, <br />Countrywide Home Loans, PRO Realty <br />b. Ads will run in The Louisville Times and the City's Community <br />Update. Additional advertisements will be through flyers, <br />posters, banners, church bulletins, grocery bag stuffing, <br />websites, and email lists. <br />c. Commission members are asked to each sell five tickets <br />d. Tour preview for the homeowners, hosts, and Commission <br />members is Thursday, December 4th, 5:30-7:00 p.m., beginning <br />at 741 Lincoln Ave. <br />e. Tour Day Commission Assignments: <br />i. Commission booth at the Methodist Church: Pat Seader, <br />Diane Marino and Aline Steinbaugh <br />ii. Tomeo House: Bob Enrietto and Don Ross <br />4. Christmas ornaments are ready for pick up. The Commission <br />approved a total of $1,250 to be paid to Marion Junior in 2008 for <br />making the ornaments. <br />5. Thirty copies of the Society of Italian Americans Cookbooks have <br />been purchased from the Society of Italian Americans for $3 each. <br />
