Presented by Peter Gowen, OSAB Member.
Peter led the discussion. He said the goal was to prioritize what neighboring boards to meet with, what
topics to discuss, and how to initiate the contact.
Peter asked the board about individuals contacting other boards vs. staff initiating the contact. He also
asked whether tiger teams or individuals should attend other meetings. Ember suggested she was willing
to continue to act as a liaison between boards.
Peter asked if the board thought his list of candidate municipalities was complete. Jessamine suggested
adding the City of Boulder.
Jessamine commented that she is interested in meeting with Superior because of mutual interest in the
Overlook Underpass Trail, and with Broomfield for discussion of Redtail Ridge topics.
Peter said OSAB has been trying to meet up with PPLAB for two years. Jessamine suggested she and
Anneliese try to set up a joint dialog first.
Laura mentioned that the board had met with Superior recently. She wasn't sure if we needed another board -
to -board meeting, since she wasn't sure what the goal would be, beyond re -iterating mutual support for the
Overlook Underpass trail. She thought an individual could visit Superior's board meeting to communicate
that point as well as a joint meeting could. Peter said he thought a joint meeting with Superior would be
the most helpful and asked for potential topics. Charles noted that Superior would also be impacted by the
Redtail Ridge development. Peter suggested there could be an information exchange.
Peter said he wanted to wait for joint meetings until after face-to-face meetings are re-established.
Ember said there will be a joint staff meeting between Lafayette, Louisville, and Boulder County in July to
discuss the Mayhoffer management plan. She thought this might be a good chance to establish contact with
the County board. Jessamine suggesting discussing connections to County at the August board meeting.
Ember plugged the annual COSA conference in the fall as a good place for networking.
XII.
