Allan Gill Staff Updates <br />OPEN SPACE RETAINING WALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />Project Update October 4, 2021 <br />• Bids for the project were due July 7t" 2021, unfortunately the City did not received any bids for <br />the project. <br />• The project may have been too big for a small project and too small for a large project. <br />• To keep the project moving forward the City reached out to Otak a local engineering firm for <br />engineering support for the project. Otak has worked on multiple City projects over the years <br />• The City also reached out to Green Landscape Solutions a local landscape contracting company <br />that worked on the South Street Underpass and other project around the City. <br />• Green Landscape Solutions prepared a cost proposal which unfortunately was over budget, the <br />City asked Green Landscape Solutions to review the cost proposal to see if cost savings could be <br />M11 000 <br />• At this point Green Landscape Solutions proposal is still over budget but not as much as it <br />originally was and City staff are reviewing next steps. <br />12 <br />
