RAB members expressed the hope <br />that a return to standard time, colder weather, and the approval of COVID vaccines <br />for children might bring more people back to the rec center to exercise. <br />• RAB members discussed the possibility of offering some rec center classes or <br />senior activities for fully vaccinated people, in which participants could remove their <br />masks. This exemption is available through the Boulder County "Approved Vaccine <br />Verified Facility or Event" program. Louisville City Council has started to look at <br />this program, but has not moved forward. A major roadblock is that 95% of <br />employees would need to be vaccinated. <br />Golf Course Update <br />Q3 Golf Dashboard. <br />• The revenue numbers are excellent, even compared to 2018 and 2019. Third <br />quarter revenue is $50,000 over expected revenue, even before the end of <br />October. Lessons have increased substantially. The weather has been excellent <br />for golf this fall. The purchase of range balls increased substantially, which results <br />in positive revenue but additional wear and tear on the grass. <br />• When asked about the expectations for the last quarter, when the weather <br />adversely affects play, David Baril said that he expects a net operating loss of <br />about $80,000. That may be minimized by the excellent numbers in October. The <br />staff will be down in numbers to part-time staff and three golf professionals. <br />• Ginger Cross reported that there will be a membership drive in November. The <br />revenue for memberships will show up in the following year, which is when the <br />membership will be used. <br />• RAB members commended the golf course pros for doing an excellent job. <br />Golf Survey Results <br />• Ginger Cross presented results from the golf course survey that was completed in <br />September 2021. This was a standardized survey through the National Golf <br />Foundation (NGF), with supplemental questions relevant to CCGC. The survey <br />results are compared to national information and to results from a similar survey <br />completed in 2015. <br />• Ginger reported that general takeaways from the survey are that golfers do not <br />believe that they are getting enough value for what they pay, and that pricing is too <br />high. However, these perceptions do not seem to be discouraging play, as tee <br />times are at a record high. The loyalty index improved, and most comments about <br />staff were positive. <br />4 <br />
