Public Comment #1
Dear Members of PPLAB,
As you consider PPLAB's council budget requests in the coming month, please remember all the
public trees, streetscapes, turf, landscaping, and parks either destroyed or impacted by the
devastating Marshall Fire. See below #6 - 10. I am sure other parts of town are affected, but
these are the areas I am most familiar with.
While I am not 100% sure, I would think FEMA funds will be available to pay for much of this
damage to public infrastructure. I would ask staff to ask the Federal funding experts the City is
either contracting or hiring to look into this possibility. Using the funds previously allocated last
year for streetscape, landscape, median and park improvements should NOT be used for
Marshall Fire damage. Genuine needs exist for that previously allocated funding and it should be
used for those needs. Advocate for new additional money.
Thanks for your consideration!
Best wishes,
Sue
Dean, Would you please pass this on to new members not included above? Thanks!
Begin forwarded message:
From: Susan Loo
Subject: CIP & Other Considerations
Date: February 5, 2022 at 2:39:49 PM MST
Dear Mayor and Council,
As you begin your deliberations on the upcoming budget cycle, I respectfully request the
following additions to the Capital Improvement Plan:
1.
