The social history explains that <br />this structure was the first building in the Acme Place subdivision, and was built <br />in the 1880's. <br /> <br />There wasn't any public comment. <br /> <br />Commission questions: <br /> <br />Whiteman asked how large is the property? <br /> <br />Andy Johnson, the architect for the project, responded that the property <br />measures 114' X 75'. Johnson also stated that the house is not that large and <br />that it currently does not comply with the required setbacks (side and front). <br /> <br />Lawrence added there are also plenty of additions to the house that do not lend <br />to the historic nature of the building. <br /> <br />Whiteman asked what is the size of the structure? <br /> <br />Johnson answered it is approximately 1,200 square feet. <br /> <br />Lawrence stated that the interior of the house was in pretty good shape and that <br />they would consider reusing the interior elements of the house. <br /> <br />Lewis stated that they can't consider the interior in regards to preservation. <br /> <br />Lawrence asked what the Commission might recommend for them to move <br />forward with this project? <br /> <br />Whiteman stated that the Commission could not give a full review until there was <br />a demolition permit pulled. <br /> <br />Muth stated that there was the opportunity for the design assistance committee <br />to meet with Lawrence to discuss her options. <br /> <br />Johnson added that all of the windows have been replaced and the siding has <br />been removed. <br /> <br />Muckle stated that she would love the visit the house with the applicant, but also <br />stated that she has been in the house before (she knows the owner) and realizes <br />that the house has asbestos siding and bad plumbing. <br /> <br />Whiteman commented on the contract to purchase the property. He reiterated <br />that there is no way for the Commission to prevent Lawrence form demolishing <br />the property. He then stated that the windows being removed might be an <br />impediment for the structure to be landmarked, but he also stated that the <br />
