Mark agreed to bring an update on prior sub -committee and identified projects. He said the prior sub -committee had stalled due to meeting issues and the onset of COVID. XIII. Arts Grants a. Information Item: 2019-2021 Arts Grants Recipient Updates (Erica) Erica said she had access to grant information going back to 2019 only and covered the general rules for applicants who receive art grants. She said that the LCC had not followed through over the past 2-years to make sure applicants had fulfilled these. She also said that some grant applications had not been fulfilled and projects cancelled and the city refunded. Another project didn't respond, but did later perform in Lafayette, it's not clear if this used Louisville grant application money. Two other 2020 projects were not completed, applicants are not responding. Only two 2020 recipients completed their evaluations, the remaining four had no responded. For 2021, one recipient used money for operational expenses, Erica noted she had no documentation approving this; One project due to be complete in March, another partially completed and eight were fully completed, 2-evaluations have been completed, 7x have been requested. Erica said it was important to do better to track the processes, to make sure the money was spent effectively, to ensure that future grants should not be given to those that have not adhered to past awards.
