Number of Building Permits

Permits for Homart

11/3/83

Page -15-

Also working with the City in regard to
Harper Lake and additional water storage.
As to the extension of Via Appia, they
have tied and talked with the neighbors
in Heritage and the Centennial subdivision
that the future developments that they do
to the west of Sundance and south of Pine
St.before those buildings would be occupied
they would have a connection to the west;
rather than having people come through the
Heritage subdivision. They will agree to
extending Via Appia but will have to be con-
tingent on being able to have some type
development that would justify those costs.

Councilman Leary wished concurrence that
Mr. Krueger was asking for up to 140 building
permits per year. Krueger concurred.
Attorney Rautenstraus advised that the numbers
for Hunter's Ridge or Columbine Homes were
109 for the first year, 140 and 141 and the
wording in the agreement said those numbers
could be adjusted for reasonable cause.
Leary inquired who would sign the amendment
to the annexation agreement.
Rautenstraus advised the owner of the property
If there are requirements of other people
then they would sign also.

Mayor Meier favored granting McStain 140
permits per year on the merits of the quality
of his other developments and the other bene-
fits derived by the City.

Councilman Ferrera inquired if this same
number of permits would be granted to Homart,
or would 175 permits be allowed for them and
McStain? He felt that this had been discussed
with Homart that they get with McStain and
deal with them on the number of permits.

Mayor Meier commented that in the study session
stating that they should arbritrate 175 per-
mits jointly, didn't feel this was an equitable
way to go for either McStain or Homart. Felt
that Council should deal with them separately.
