Councilman Leary PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED AMENDMENT FOR PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE #813 - BASDEN ALLEY VACATION PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED RESOLUTION #44 - HIGHWAY 287 \MENDMENT 11/3/83 Page -9- The reference to the building department is more or less a general statement that is placed in the ordinance to define why the service expansion fee is charged to off- set some of the costs of various departments of the City. The one more specifically re- lated to development is the building depart- ment. Commented that the figures could be left as is on first reading but would propose that on second reading the figures be changed to $.50 for the street improvement fund, $.50 be used to help defray the expenses of the building department and $.50 for capital improvements. Requested that an analysis be made of the $.75 to be used to defray the expenses of the building department - if this figure were reduced to $.50 what the im- pact would be for next year. Administrator Wurl agreed to do this analysis. Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that OrdinancE~ #812 - Service Expansion Fee Increase be published. Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Leary seconded that amendment be added to the motion that a public hearing be held December 6, 1983. Question called for on the amendment. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. Question called for on motion for publication. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only and the request was for publication. Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that Ordinance #813 - Basden Alley Vacation be published. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution; letter from City Administrator Mike Acimovic of Lafayette and Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution in its entirety. Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded that Resolution #44 be amended to read "high" priority in lieu of "first" priority..
