<br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED <br /> <br />AMENDMENT FOR PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #813 - BASDEN ALLEY <br />VACATION <br /> <br />PUBLICATION AUTHORIZED <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #44 - HIGHWAY 287 <br /> <br />\MENDMENT <br /> <br />11/3/83 <br /> <br />Page -9- <br /> <br />The reference to the building department <br />is more or less a general statement that <br />is placed in the ordinance to define why <br />the service expansion fee is charged to off- <br />set some of the costs of various departments <br />of the City. The one more specifically re- <br />lated to development is the building depart- <br />ment. <br /> <br />Commented that the figures could be left as <br />is on first reading but would propose that <br />on second reading the figures be changed to <br />$.50 for the street improvement fund, $.50 <br />be used to help defray the expenses of the <br />building department and $.50 for capital <br />improvements. Requested that an analysis <br />be made of the $.75 to be used to defray <br />the expenses of the building department - if <br />this figure were reduced to $.50 what the im- <br />pact would be for next year. <br />Administrator Wurl agreed to do this analysis. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Fauson seconded <br />that OrdinancE~ #812 - Service Expansion Fee <br />Increase be published. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Leary <br />seconded that amendment be added to the motion <br />that a public hearing be held December 6, 1983. <br />Question called for on the amendment. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. <br /> <br />Question called for on motion for publication. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance; <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only <br />and the request was for publication. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Fauson seconded <br />that Ordinance #813 - Basden Alley Vacation <br />be published. Question called for. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution; <br />letter from City Administrator Mike Acimovic <br />of Lafayette and Attorney Rautenstraus read <br />the resolution in its entirety. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that Resolution #44 be amended to <br />read "high" priority in lieu of "first" <br />priority.. <br />
