Service to Medema Homes

Local Origination Equipment
Rates - Location of Office
Listings

Councilwoman Morris

5/18/83

Page -10-

other coucilmembers had so that Scripps-Howard
and .Storer_could be apprised before they come
to Council on June 7th.
Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Leary
seconded that the public hearing on Ordinance
#793 - Storer Cable TV Permit Transfer be
continued until June 7, 1983. Question called
for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.

Attorney Rautenstraus briefly summarized the
amendment to the agreement.

Councilman Cussen then commented on concerns
that he and Councilwoman Morris shared. One
was that service would not be provided to the
Dutch Creek Subdivision until August 15.,: 1983.
The contention was that before this service
could be provided all five municipalities that
Storer has must agree with this. Therefore,
this could possibly be delayed for a year.
Scripps-Howard was informed that Storer was
responsible to install this service in a timely
manner and if this is not accomplished, Cussen
suggested that Council call upon the $100,000
Surety Bond and perhaps call in an independent
service to make the installation by August
15th. Storer be notified of this action that
Council will take.
Attorney Rautenstraus verified the~Gity.has
a specific account with Storer, which enables
the City signature power; and he was reviewing
information on the Surety Bond from the bonding
company.
Councilman Cussen also expressed concern re-
garding the local origination equipment for
City Hall; felt this should be vital to enter-
ing into the agreement. Did not find the list
of equipment as presented acceptable. Wanted
assurance that the rates would not be increased
for a year, also maintain an office within
the City of Louisville. Would want no less
than what the City is presently receiving on
Cable listings.

Commented regarding the equipment for City
Hall, it washer understanding that it would
be available for today, and if we so wished
could have our Planning Commission and City
Council meetings on cable by June 1st. Wished
definite information onl'theequipment and when
it would be operable. This was still Storer's
responsibility.
