However, if the business was sold <br />would favor compliance with the ordinance. <br />Discussion by Council - general consensus <br />was that the sign ordinance compliance be <br />kept. <br /> <br />EXTENSION FOR 90 DAYS <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Leary <br />seconded that the Kosher Burrito be granted <br />a 90-day extension to comply with the sign <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />Commented to clarify his position - he did <br />not wish to be mismderst.ood that the ordinance <br />should not be enforced - felt that the ordin- <br />ance should be amended. <br /> <br />Question called for on the motion. 6 Ayes <br />1 Nay - Mayor Meier dissenting. Motion <br />carried 6-1. <br /> <br />SOUTH BOULDER ROAD, MAIN <br />ST. & VIA APPIA - STREET <br />IMPROVEMENTS - AWARD BID <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the bids sub- <br />mitted as well as a recommendation from the <br />Consultants - Centennial Engineering Inc. <br /> <br />BID AWARDED <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that the street improvements bid <br />be awarded to Site Systems Inc. for South <br />Boulder Road, Main Street and Via Appia in <br />the amount of $205,914.15. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris <br /> <br />Inquired if it was beneficial to have one <br />company do all three of the projects. It <br />appeared to her that there would be a savings <br />of $7,000 if Western Paving was awarded the <br />bid for the improvements to Via Appia and <br />the Main Street reconstruction, and Site <br />Systems, Inc. be awarded the bid for South <br />Boulder Road. <br />Administrator Wurl advised that an actual <br />savings of $11,617.00 was realized by com- <br />bing the three projects. <br /> <br />Inquired of City Engineer Blanchard having <br />Via Appia approved as Homart proposed and <br />made it one of the major thoroughfares in <br />the City, would that impact the design of <br />the South Boulder Road/Via Appia intersection? <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br />
