However, if the business was sold would favor compliance with the ordinance. Discussion by Council - general consensus was that the sign ordinance compliance be kept. EXTENSION FOR 90 DAYS Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Leary seconded that the Kosher Burrito be granted a 90-day extension to comply with the sign ordinance. Mayor Meier Commented to clarify his position - he did not wish to be mismderst.ood that the ordinance should not be enforced - felt that the ordin- ance should be amended. Question called for on the motion. 6 Ayes 1 Nay - Mayor Meier dissenting. Motion carried 6-1. SOUTH BOULDER ROAD, MAIN ST. & VIA APPIA - STREET IMPROVEMENTS - AWARD BID Councilmembers had a copy of the bids sub- mitted as well as a recommendation from the Consultants - Centennial Engineering Inc. BID AWARDED Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cussen seconded that the street improvements bid be awarded to Site Systems Inc. for South Boulder Road, Main Street and Via Appia in the amount of $205,914.15. Councilwoman Morris Inquired if it was beneficial to have one company do all three of the projects. It appeared to her that there would be a savings of $7,000 if Western Paving was awarded the bid for the improvements to Via Appia and the Main Street reconstruction, and Site Systems, Inc. be awarded the bid for South Boulder Road. Administrator Wurl advised that an actual savings of $11,617.00 was realized by com- bing the three projects. Inquired of City Engineer Blanchard having Via Appia approved as Homart proposed and made it one of the major thoroughfares in the City, would that impact the design of the South Boulder Road/Via Appia intersection?
