In general property which is <br />located within a City, and is adjacent to <br />a boundry, which the Eicher property is, <br />can be subject to disconnection. Property <br />owner must submit application for this fact <br />and council can disconnect the property by <br />ordinance. In doing so they must find <br />the best interests of the City would not <br />prejudiced by the disconnection. Advised <br />that the Eicher's had submitted an application <br />for the disconnection. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that the City Attorney be directed <br />to draw up an ordinance for the deannexation <br />of the Eicher property. <br />Councilman Leary requested a public hearing <br />be held after the ordinance has been initiated. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the ordinance by <br />title only on second reading and public hearing. <br />Rautenstraus certified proper publication. <br />Mayor Meier opened the public hearing. <br />Rautenstraus certified publication of the <br />public hearing. Advised that Chief Building <br />Inspector Steve Ferris was present to answer <br />any questions and discuss the changes that <br />were made from the Uniform Code. <br />
