Councilman Leary

BUDGET TO BE AMENDED TO
REFLECT CORRECT REVENUE
FIGURE IN PARKS EXPANSION FUND

Councilwoman Morris

1/18/83

Page -16-

expressed an interest and would like to join
in participating with the proposed park.
The Neodata people would like to help on
the rough grading and install the berms.
He had discussed this with Director Hioco
as to the equipment needs and the amount
of hours to accomplish this. Unfortunately
the specifications are not complete; however
some rough estlinates were worked out to
cover the rough grading. If their equipment
is not available in a timely manner, the
City would do the work and they would pay them.
Remarked it was a real delight working with
Administrator ~lrl, Director Hioco and the
residents of thl~ Committee for the proposed
park. It is nice to be on the other side
of the fence - 1i17aS a real positive relation-
ship.
Director Hioco stated with Council's approval
he could get the plans for the rough grading
by the first of the week, and would then re-
view them with the Neodata people.

Commented - the possibility of the $57,816.05
figure could be reduced by approximately
by $34,000 being donated.
Director Hioco agreed; but stated he would
like to maintain that figure and purchase
some of the items in Phase II of the project.

Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Cummings
seconded that the 1983 Budget be Amended to
read $276,570.03 revenue in the Parks Assess-
ment Fund.

Wished to thank Sue Forest, Debbie Singer
and all others involved in the project.
She reiterated Mrs. Forest's statement about
Hillsborough West finally feeling they are
a part of Louisville as she felt this way also.
She felt it was nice to have something positive
to get coordinated with the community spirit,
rather than always reacting to .something
negative. Also thanked Mr. Gurey; it was
nice to have Neodata be a part of something
positive and appreciated his attendance, as
well as commiting to do the rough grading on
the site and other possibilites that come up
in the future.
