12/22/82

Page -2-

Councilwoman Morris

Stated she spoke with John Drennan of the
Lafayette City Council at an informal meeting
and he indicated a meeting had been set up
with the Louisville City Council but did
not recall what the date and time was.
Therefore requested that our councilmembers
be told of the date and time of this meeting.

Councilman Leary

Also stated that he had talked with Alex
Arinello and he mentioned they had directed
the City Manager to write a letter inviting
us over.

Administrator Wurl

Advised that the City of Lafayette had never
responded to our invitation for the joint
meeting. He had called the City Manager
several times but as yet had received no
date.

Neodata and Morman Church
Shared Parking

Director Rupp advised staff had spoken with
the architect at the Morman Church site and
he had sent a letter to Salt Lake City re-
lative to the cross access and shared parking
issue. It was his understanding that the
Morman Church's posture from Salt Lake City
was that they absolutely did not wish to
participate in the issue. The architect
agreed this was in the Agreement with the
City; but Salt Lake City was not so willing
to do this.

Councilwoman Morris

Stated since this is part of the agreement
with the City as long as Public Service agreed
they would enter into the access and shared
parking; therefore they should not be issued
a certificate of occupany unless they honor
the agreement.

Motion to Withhold CO
on Church of Latter Day
Saints

Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cussen
seconded that since the access and shared
parking was part of the Morman Church agree-
ment with the City, and Council voted unanimously
to approve the Agreement, if the Church of
the Latter Day Saints does not honor that
agreement the City will not issue a certificate
of occupancy.

Councilmen Leary and Ferrera wished to review
the wording of the Agreement on this issue.
Rupp to have it for them at the next Council
meeting.
