12/22/82 Page -3- Motion Withdrawn Councilwoman Morris withdrew her motion until the next Council meeting when there is more information. Councilman Cussen with- drew his second. Ponderosa Subdivision Harper Lake Water Study Administrator Wurl advised that the study was being updated. Councilman Leary commented we are paying for these studies and if they are ndtgiving the correct data the first time, didn't feel final payment should be made. Wurl advised that studies were done for a number of reasons - one, to obtain grants for the City leaning toward that philosophy. Councilman Fauson Commented that he would like to caution Council regarding the meeting with Lafayett~, that intergovernmental relationships are good, nice to talk about it, etc.; but in theory and practice it is two different things. Again recommended cautiousness. Administrator Wurl Remarked that he felt he had always had a good relationship with Lafayette; had ex- pressed every concern that our Council had to them. Expressed his anger and frustra- tion that Alex Arinello and John Drennan of the Lafayette City Council had informed 3 of our Council members of a meeting with their City; couldn't understand why the City Manager of Lafayette did not write a letter or call him of such a meeting so he could inform all of our councilmembers. Councilman Cussen Commented the did not wish to imply that Wurl was at fault with the communications regarding the meeting. However, it was his understanding that 2 of the Lafayette council- members were willing to meet with Louisville council. He felt the meeting was very im- portant as there were a lot of;problems and concerns that need to be discussed especially in the future as a result of growth. Felt that clarification was being requested about the meeting; and gives our City the opportun- ity to say to Alex Arniello we haven't heard anything and gives him the opportunity to go back and find where the problem is.
