12/22/82

Page -5-

uJministrator Wurl

Remarked this same situation occurred with
the satellite hospital. Councilman Leary
continually asked when the meeting would
be with the hospital people. Wurl felt
they were playing politics with it. They
didn't want to meet with Louisville, because
they felt for some reason - that if
this meeting occurred pre the annexation or
zoning of the proposed site this would impact
the City of Lafayette getting the hospital.
It seemed that Louisville was delaying the
meeting but that was not the case.
Wurl suggested that our Council set a date
for the meeting with Lafayette and invite
them; see what happens.

Councilwoman Morris

Reiterated that a date had been set in January
for the joint meeting at Centaraus.
Wurl to send us a letter requesting confir-
mation.

Councilman Ferrera

Requested the status of street improvements
on South Boulder Road east of the RR tracks.
Rupp advised discussions were held with the
property owners involved; everyone indicated
a willingness to do them. The property owner
at Christopher Village did not feel that the
Agreement is sound enough that everyone will
be doing it in a specified time-frame. The
Agreement states they will be done by June
1st. Staff is to obtain the final engineer-
ing drawings; find out what has to be done,
what the cost will be; put it out to bid,
determine a date when the project is to be
completed and tell the property owners this
is the date it will be done and finalize it.
A resolution will be forthcoming to this effect.

Mayor Meier

Requested a report on the progress of im-
provments on Delaney Road and 80th Street.
Wurl reported there is a meeting planned with
the developers and Boulder County - after
these' meetings he would have the report.

Administrator Wurl advised the Agreement had
been received but it was still unsatisfactory.

Louisville Associates -
Wastewater Plant Agreement

Councilman Fauson

Commented it was his understanding that if
the agreement was not signed before the
first of the year, the City would lose from
$50,000 - $90,000 for labor and material costs.
Is this still the case?
