Referring to the
preliminary sketch provided councilmembers,
he inquried if it would be feasible to fence
just the playground.
Director Rioco advised the fencing would be
along with the Community Ditch line on the
west side.
Fauson inquired if this would prevent the
children from going near the ditch area; could
they go around the other side?
Administrator Wurl advised there was a barb-
wire fence along the south end; the fence
would be installed along the ditch line and
the children would have to go from the play-
ground or across the street to reach the ditch.

Councilman Ferrera

Commented if the funds become available, the
homeowners could get the project started this
year. Re too wished to know the costs before
making a firm commitment and then work on a
schedule. She was
concerned that the money had not been budgeted
and did not favor transferring funds from other
parks that are long overdue. Very much ap-
preciated council's support for the present
request of fencing and sand. She felt it was
a fantastic idea, appreciated Director Rioco's
cooperation getting the basics together.

Councilman Cussen

Commented he too was very supportive of
the homeowners project; felt it was very ex-
citing - the community involvement.
