CONTRACT <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE <br /> <br />COMMUNITY BUILDING - RENOVATION <br /> <br />10/19/82 <br /> <br />Page -16- <br /> <br />Advised this section had not been reviewed <br />because it is not part of the Central Business <br />District, which is defined west of the rail- <br />road tracks. Director Rupp stated that when <br />the State of Colorado takes over the funding <br />for fiscal 1983 that the City could make ap- <br />plication to them. He mentioned other possi- <br />bilities available i.e. go for acquisition <br />and redevelopment of the area into more sub- <br />stantial housing units. Rupp explained the <br />time was very Limited when the information <br />was received for the program in early September; <br />therefore this project was pursued. However, <br />the section east of the railroad tracks will <br />be considered for future funding. <br /> <br />Inquired how the property owners were notified. <br />Rupp advised they were contacted personally by <br />John Lanterman and Mark Adams. <br /> <br />Inquired if the residents were contacted also. <br />Rupp advised they were not - just property owners. <br />Councilman Leary suggested Rupp send a letter <br />to the residents making them aware of the <br />proposal and would give them an opportunity <br />to comment if they wished to do so. <br />Ferrera <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman/seconded <br />that the Hayor be authorized to sign the <br />Small Cities Grant Application. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised the City's parti- <br />cipation of 1% of the Environmental Impact <br />Study had increased from $30,000.00 to $54,000.00. <br />It was his recommendation that the City con- <br />tinue to participate in the Study. <br /> <br />Commented even the $54,000.00 was not a firm <br />figure for the Study, when would this be avail- <br />able. Wurl advised when they have an actual <br />contract. <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that the City continue to participate <br />1% of the Denver Water Dept. Enviornmental <br />Impact Study. Question called for. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor and councilmembers had a copy of the <br />bid tabulation for the renovation of the <br />
