<br />AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD <br />BID <br /> <br />EASEMENT FOR SUPERIOR <br />INTERCHANGE APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR MAYOR AND <br />CLERK TO SIGN TEMPORARY <br />EASEMENT <br /> <br />GUEST <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ADMINISTRA- <br />TOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilman Ferrera <br /> <br />10/19/82 Page -18- <br /> <br />seconded <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris/ <br />that Council authorize the award of the bid <br />for the renovation of the Community Building <br />to Jicinsky Construction Company in the <br />amount of $41,225.00. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Hotion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised during the nego- <br />tiations on the interchange it became obvious <br />that a portion of the land that was platted <br />and given to the City for open space area <br />would be required by the Highway Dept. for <br />utilization in construction of the Interchange; <br />we agreed to do this when the Agreement was <br />signed. It hasn't been until the present <br />that an easement request was presented to <br />Council for that purpose. Recommendation is <br />to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the <br />easement request. <br /> <br />Inquired if the land would be returned to <br />its natural state when the easement is completed. <br />Wurl advised that it would be. <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cummings <br />seconded that Council authorize the Mayor <br />and Clerk to sign the Temporary Easement <br />Agreement for the Superior Interchange. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl introduced John Topf, <br />Candidate for the House of Representatives <br />to Mayor and Councilmembers. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that the City Administrator's report <br />be accepted and placed on file. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Commented on the Flight for Life donation. <br />The City was involved in the run for the <br />Cancer Fund-which was not brought before Council, <br />and a team was sponsored by the City. He <br />felt that there should be a consistent policy <br />on donations. <br />
