AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD BID EASEMENT FOR SUPERIOR INTERCHANGE APPROVAL Councilman Leary AUTHORIZATION FOR MAYOR AND CLERK TO SIGN TEMPORARY EASEMENT GUEST ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ADMINISTRA- TOR'S REPORT COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilman Ferrera 10/19/82 Page -18- seconded Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris/ that Council authorize the award of the bid for the renovation of the Community Building to Jicinsky Construction Company in the amount of $41,225.00. Question called for. All in favor. Hotion carried unanimously. Administrator Wurl advised during the nego- tiations on the interchange it became obvious that a portion of the land that was platted and given to the City for open space area would be required by the Highway Dept. for utilization in construction of the Interchange; we agreed to do this when the Agreement was signed. It hasn't been until the present that an easement request was presented to Council for that purpose. Recommendation is to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the easement request. Inquired if the land would be returned to its natural state when the easement is completed. Wurl advised that it would be. Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cummings seconded that Council authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Temporary Easement Agreement for the Superior Interchange. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator Wurl introduced John Topf, Candidate for the House of Representatives to Mayor and Councilmembers. Councilman Fauson moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded that the City Administrator's report be accepted and placed on file. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried. Commented on the Flight for Life donation. The City was involved in the run for the Cancer Fund-which was not brought before Council, and a team was sponsored by the City. He felt that there should be a consistent policy on donations.
