He wished to <br />commend them. <br /> <br />Wished to concur with Councilman Cussen's <br />remarks and hopes that other ideas will be <br />forthcoming in getting the community more <br />involved with the Police Dept. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that the Ride Along Program as <br />requested by the Police Department be adopted. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />/a meeting <br />Each councilmember had a copy of the letter <br />from DRCOG requesting/with Mayor, Council <br />and senior staff on November 9, 1982. <br /> <br />Commented he felt the schedule should have <br />been a 2 hour meeting with LQuisville parti- <br />cipants; also felt this would improve our <br />intergovernmental relationships and suggested <br />the transportation system be discussed with <br />DRCOG. <br /> <br />Commented it would be more convenient for <br />him if the meeting was in the evening; he <br />would be unable to attend a day meeting and <br />asked Administrator Wurl to convey his regrets. <br /> <br />All six councilmembers indicated they would <br />be able to attend the day meeting. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised he spoke with <br />Alex Arinello who indicated that they may <br />consider some kind of payment plan; was em- <br />phatic about it not exceeding 5 years and <br />preferred 3 years. <br /> <br />Inquired if there was mention of a possible <br />trade of property. <br />Wurl advised they were not interested in a trade. <br /> <br />When the City was in the process of the <br />Centennial Valley annexation there was an in- <br />dication from the Fire District members that <br />they needed a parcel of property for a future <br />Fire Sub-station. The City obtained a 5 acre <br />site in the Heritage development that the <br />Fire District members now wish to clarify <br />their position.
