<br />10/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -20- <br /> <br />provide a long term lease to the Fire Dis- <br />trict on all or part of that site. In the <br />interim there has been an indication on the <br />part of the Louisville Housing Authority <br />that they have an interest in a portion of <br />the property. The Fire District has advised <br />that 2~ acres would be sufficient for them. <br />The westerly portion could be discussed for <br />the Fire District and the easterly portion <br />for the Louisville Housing Authority if <br />Council so desired. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Inquired if this was the optimum site for <br />a substation. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Advised at this time, it was not. This will <br />not be determined until an evaluation of the <br />population is made. There is an over abundance <br />of equipment that the Fire District has and <br />temporary buildings are needed to house this <br />equipment. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Was concerned if this was going to be the <br />best use for the property. Was the need <br />of the Fire District immediate <br />Councilman Fauson advised it was not as Via <br />Appia had not been completed. <br />Discussion by council. City Attorney to write <br />a letter of intent of the City's willingness <br />to cooperate with the Fire District by short <br />term lease or transfer of property. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl requested Council go into <br />Executive Session after adjournment to discuss <br />a legal matter regarding water rights. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />Informed the press the executive session <br />would be a discussion regarding a litigation <br />presently involved in Water Court. Litigation <br />with the City of Lafayette. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that the City Administrator's report <br />be accepted and placed on file. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Commented when the City Administrator's evalu- <br />ation was discussed councilmembers suggested <br />some type of summary be given the public after <br />executive sessions. He felt the press should <br />be given a statement after the exeutive session <br />this evening. <br />
