10/5/82 Page -20- provide a long term lease to the Fire Dis- trict on all or part of that site. In the interim there has been an indication on the part of the Louisville Housing Authority that they have an interest in a portion of the property. The Fire District has advised that 2~ acres would be sufficient for them. The westerly portion could be discussed for the Fire District and the easterly portion for the Louisville Housing Authority if Council so desired. Councilman Leary Inquired if this was the optimum site for a substation. Councilman Fauson Advised at this time, it was not. This will not be determined until an evaluation of the population is made. There is an over abundance of equipment that the Fire District has and temporary buildings are needed to house this equipment. Councilman Leary Was concerned if this was going to be the best use for the property. Was the need of the Fire District immediate Councilman Fauson advised it was not as Via Appia had not been completed. Discussion by council. City Attorney to write a letter of intent of the City's willingness to cooperate with the Fire District by short term lease or transfer of property. EXECUTIVE SESSION Administrator Wurl requested Council go into Executive Session after adjournment to discuss a legal matter regarding water rights. Mayor Meier Informed the press the executive session would be a discussion regarding a litigation presently involved in Water Court. Litigation with the City of Lafayette. ACCEPTANCE OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded that the City Administrator's report be accepted and placed on file. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried. COUNCIL COMMENTS Commented when the City Administrator's evalu- ation was discussed councilmembers suggested some type of summary be given the public after executive sessions. He felt the press should be given a statement after the exeutive session this evening.
