NIELSEN <br />INDUDSTRIAL REVENUE NOTES <br /> <br />MOTION TO PUBLISH <br /> <br />~ounci1woman Morris <br /> <br />10/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -8- <br /> <br />Inquired of Mrs. Kelly if there was anything <br />else in the ordinance, other than the $100 <br />fee, that she found undesireab1e. <br />She advised that there was not - the hours <br />of operation were fine. <br />Councilman Leary inquired of Attorney Rau- <br />tenstraus when the ordinance would go into <br />effect and require fees; or could Council <br />request the fees as of January 1, 1983. <br />Rautenstraus advised if Council so desired <br />the fees could become effective as of 1/1/83. <br /> <br />Wished to speak in support of Mrs. Kelly, <br />stated he was the Manager for King 300pers. <br />They have some video games in their stores, <br />donate the proceeds to charity and they <br />bring in between $350 and $500 a week. He <br />knew of an arcade owner in Arvada that pays <br />$25.00 per year; therefore the $100.00 fee <br />was excessive. <br />Mrs. Kelly stated that she thought $25.00 <br />per machine would be an adequate fee. <br /> <br />Councilman Curnnings moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that Ordinance #767 - Commercial <br />Amusement Deviees be published with requested <br />changes. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary requested a public hearing <br />be set on the ordinance. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus suggested the public <br />hearing be set for November 3rd council meet- <br />ing. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that a public hearing on Ordinance <br />#767 be set for November 3, 1982. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Each counci1member had a copy of the ordinance. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the ordinance by <br />title only and the request was for publication. <br />Mr. Perkins and Mr. O'Mera were in attendance, <br />representing the applicant, to answer any <br />questions. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cummings <br />seconded that Ordinance #774 - A.
