Councilman Fauson Retention Pond at Mission Greens Parking at Corner of Main and Pine Detour on Delany Road Reclamation on Mall Site Councilman Cummings 9/7/82 Page -13- Inquired who was in charge of plantings in parkways i.e. between the curb and sidewalk. Some of these are overhanging the sidewalk and others obstructing traffic; also men- tioned $ome9ne had planted corn in the parkway. Wurl advised this could be handled by our Code Enforcement Officer. Commented he had been contacted by Mr. Sharp who informed him that the retention pond at Mission Greens needed to be corrected. Mr. Sharp expressed concern that if this was done it would remove the ground cover and he would have dirt blowing onto his lawn. It was his suggestion that this project be delayed until early spring. Administrator Wurl stated he and City Engineer Blanchard would review it; however expressed concern that if the basic drainage problem is not resolved there may be more problems with the drainage than with the dust problem. Fauson stated this intersection has a RTD park and ride location designation and several people have been parking their cars all day long - park their cars, get on the bus, and leave their cars at this location all day long - what can be done? Leesman to check the situation. Asked what the time-frame on this was. Blachard to contact the developer. It was his undE!rstanding that this would take place in approximately 30 days - could these people be contacted to make certain something will be done. Wurl to contact them. Also expressed his concern about the recla- mation at the Mall site. Wished to commend the Police Department for a job well done at the Labor Day festivities; a~so wished to commend the Street Department for cleaning up before people went to work.
