COUNCIL COMMENTS: - Councilman
Leary:

Councilman Cussen:

Administrator Wur1:

Mayor Meier:

Administrator Wurl:

Councilman Cussen:

6/15/82

Page -15-

Councilman Leary felt personally that too
many things are being slipped thru the
cracks, or are passing us by that I think
some system is needed. For instance we
ask Leon a lot of questions, I don't know
if we should prioritize them; but it was
his thought that there were some fairly
big issues that tend to continue endless-
ly, and he would expect a response more
timely. He felt the rebate on water rates
and the audit, the issue of joint parking,
getting with Public Service up on the hill -
need a system of identifying priority items
and get them on a report list at every
Council meeting of what is happening on these
things. He felt there were 5 or 10 things
in the mill that Council did not have any
feel for. He was unaware if the other council-
members had this feeling.

Councilman Cussen also felt that perhaps
Leon was working on them, but they did not
have a report. It was his suggestion that
perhaps somewhere in the packet a short re-
port could be made i.e. this is in the hands
of the Attorney, or still under consideration,
or turned over to Finance.

Well we could reflect that right in the
agenda if Council wishes. They could be
listed under the City Administrator's report,
giving a status report.

Mayor Meier suggested councilmembers drop
a note or call Administrator Wurl and re-
quest these items.

Administrator Wurl suggested that he develop
a list and go from there.

Councilman Cussen said to Curt, I sensed
your uncomfortableness with us tonight with
the feeling that this declaratory judge-
ment item, and would have appreciated that
brought to you ahead of time. We certainly
would have done this and it has been a tough
thing to deal with. That question has been
asked time after time, does this comply? I
guess when that came up, that was a new idea -
thought kind of thing - that I had thought
of and it seemed to me to be feasible.
