Kirk Badger, President
Louisville Development Corp.

Mayor Meier

Councilwoman Morris

APPROVAL OF LDC AGREEMENT

AUDIENCE CO~mNTS
Marie Harney, 1443 Cannon St.

Mayor Meier

Councilman Leary

5/4/82

Page -9.".

Mr. Badger stated the agreement was
acceptable to the Board of Directors
of the LDC and hoped it met with Council's
approval.

Complimented Mr. Badger and the Board of
Directors for an ambitious set of goals and
well written agreement.

Referred to page 2 - 4D of the agreement
and inquired if this particular section
included seed money that had been discussed
previously.
Badger replied this section pertained to
additional payments to the LDC, and would
include seed money.

Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Fauson
seconded the Mayor be authorized to sign
the LDC Agreement regarding the Interchange
funds including issuing a check for $15,000
which is the remainder of the first payment.
Question called for. All in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.

Mrs. Harney wished to call Council's atten-
tion to a potentially dangerous intersection
at Griffith and the RR tracks. The American
Legion has just repaved all their parking
lot, and now cars can park along the RR
tracks facing east; traveling east off
main street down Griffith it is impossible
to see if a train is coming from the south.
This is especially serious on Saturday even-
ings when Bingo games are in progress. Her
suggestion was that the American Legion be
asked to leave 2-3 of these parking spaces
free so that better visibility is available
for oncoming trains.

Advised that Administrator Wurl and City
Engineer Blanchard would contact the members
of the knerican Legion to correct the problem.

Iquired if there is a safety problem at
this intersection could it be done on an
emergency basis?
Administrator Wurl advised he was almost
certain if they prevail upon the Legion
members, it will be corrected immediately.
