Councilwoman Morris Referred to page 2, section 13.24.030 - B,"The tap fee for all commercial users shall beone~ha1f of the total water tap fee paid." ~ inquired if it was necessary for Counc:i1 to set a minimum? Administrator Wur1 advised it depended on the tap size. Rautenstraus advised the minimum Virou1d be set by one-half the water tap fee of $4,500. Counc i 1 woman . i'1orris also agreed that a public hear- ing be set for the Ordinance. PUBLICATION AUTHORIZATION Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded Ordinance #759 Water and Wastewater Tap Fees be published and a public hearing be set for May 18, 1982. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. UKDINANCE #760 - WATER AND WASTEWATER RATES Mayor and Counci1members had a copy of the ordinance before them. Attorney Rautenstraus read the Ordinance by title only on first reading and the request was for publication and a public hearing be set. Councilwoman Morris Referred to page 2 - section 13.12.090 Metered Service B. Outside Heter Rates, felt the wording should be chan~ed as it was confus ing .. Her sugges tion was to include the word City - "outside City meter rates shall be double the inside City meter rates." She also referred to C. Bulk Water Sales - her question was what would be a situation pertaining to a bulk water sale? Administrator Wur1 advised contractors that use water from a fire hydrant for street construction or puddling of water/sewer services. Councilman Leary Inquired about when the water meters were read, Attorney Rautenstraus advised rather than have a specific date set in the code, we felt it might be better to simply have Council set the date or give the authority when the statements would be sent.
