<br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />~CCEPTANCE OF CITY ATTORNEY'S <br />.i:PORT <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />WATER AND WASTEWATER TAP FEE <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION <br /> <br />4/20/82 <br /> <br />Page -14- <br /> <br />Rupp advised there would be a median on <br />South Boulder Road that would restrict that; <br />therefore the only access would be Cannon. <br /> <br />Inquired if the applicant owned any more <br />property east of the 2 lots. <br />Director Rupp advised The Depot, and Vic <br />Caranci owned the rest of the east property. <br />Councilman Fauson also stated that he was <br />happy to note that the applicant did agree <br />to finish the curb and gutter from Cannon <br />to the RR. tracks as it was badly needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd Arnold was present to answer any <br />questions. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded Resolution #17, Series 1982, <br />Coal Creek Station Filing #3 Final Plat <br />be adopted. Question called for. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded the City Attorney's report be ac- <br />cepted and placed on file. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Administrator 'Wurl advised discussion had <br />been held with Council at a recent study <br />session p,ertaining to the increase of <br />water and wastewater tap fees. The recom- <br />mendation was that Council authorize an <br />ordinance be prepared that would increase <br />the water tap fee from $4,100 to $4,500, <br />and that the residential sewer tap fee <br />be increased from $1,000 to $1,500. <br /> <br />Inquired what was the basis for the signi- <br />ficant increase of approximatelY~3J%.~~Is <br />this due to improvements? <br />Wurl stated yes, when the projections were <br />done for the upcoming improvements, to re- <br />tire the indebtedness for the sewer.- an <br />average of 72 sewer taps @ $1,500 would be <br />needed to retire that. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cununings <br />seconded that Council authorize preparation <br />of an ordinance for water and wastewater <br />tap fee increase for the amounts stated <br />in the memo prepared by Administrator Wurl. <br />
