Councilman Fauson ADOPTION ~CCEPTANCE OF CITY ATTORNEY'S .i:PORT CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT WATER AND WASTEWATER TAP FEE Councilman Leary AUTHORIZATION 4/20/82 Page -14- Rupp advised there would be a median on South Boulder Road that would restrict that; therefore the only access would be Cannon. Inquired if the applicant owned any more property east of the 2 lots. Director Rupp advised The Depot, and Vic Caranci owned the rest of the east property. Councilman Fauson also stated that he was happy to note that the applicant did agree to finish the curb and gutter from Cannon to the RR. tracks as it was badly needed. Mr. Lloyd Arnold was present to answer any questions. Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Fauson seconded Resolution #17, Series 1982, Coal Creek Station Filing #3 Final Plat be adopted. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded the City Attorney's report be ac- cepted and placed on file. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator 'Wurl advised discussion had been held with Council at a recent study session p,ertaining to the increase of water and wastewater tap fees. The recom- mendation was that Council authorize an ordinance be prepared that would increase the water tap fee from $4,100 to $4,500, and that the residential sewer tap fee be increased from $1,000 to $1,500. Inquired what was the basis for the signi- ficant increase of approximatelY~3J%.~~Is this due to improvements? Wurl stated yes, when the projections were done for the upcoming improvements, to re- tire the indebtedness for the sewer.- an average of 72 sewer taps @ $1,500 would be needed to retire that. Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Cununings seconded that Council authorize preparation of an ordinance for water and wastewater tap fee increase for the amounts stated in the memo prepared by Administrator Wurl.
