This will then finance the proposed improvements. Mayor Meier & Councilman Cussen Favored the "jersey" medians and the lands- caping and irrigation proposed improvements. Councilman Fauson Wanted to confirm the financing of the project - stating that $93,000 had been budgeted in 1982 for the signal light. Wur1 explained that the $93,000 was con- tingent that the City would construct the number of houses to obtain the $800 MTF per home to finance the proposed improve- ments. Councilman Cussen Asked who was making recommendations in terms of landscaping? The reply was Director Hioco and Planner Lanterman. AUTHORIZATION FOR BIDS Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded that staff be authorized to advertise for bids on the traffic signal and proposed improvements. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. LEASING COHPANY SELECTION Wur1 recommended that Council authorize staff to obtain the financing on the signal from Merit Financial Corp. as recommended by Chief Accountant Caranci. AUTHORIZATION - MERIT FINAN- CIAL CORP. POLICE VEHICLES LEASING Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cummings seconded that financing of the signal light be granted to Merit Financial Crop. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Administrator Wur1 recommended Council author- ize Merit Financial Corp. be granted the lease per the recommendation submitted by Chief Accountant Caranci. AUTHORIZATION Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded Merit Financial Corp. be granted the financing of the police vehicles.
