CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT POLICE VEHICLES AUTHORIZATION INCORPORATION CENTENNIAL SPECIAL ACTIVITIES WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT Councilwoman Morris 4/6/82 Page -10 - stated Administrator 1Nurl/Chief Leesman had dis- cussed this itl:m with Council at a study session and the request was for authorization to order the vehicles. Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Cussen seconded that Chief Leesman be authorized to order the police vehicles through a lease-purchase agreement. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unani- mously. AdministratorWurl stated on Hay 26, 1982 the City of Louisville will have been in- corporated 100 years. Inquired if Council wished to have something special to commem- orate this event. Councilmembers to bring back their ideas next council meeting. Stated in conjunction with the expansion of the wastewater plant by the Hall developers, there would be some involvement by the City on various aspects of the plant relating to costs. Councilmembers had a copy of the proposal from Rocky Mountain Consultants. Administrator Wurl was requesting authoriza- tion to proceed on the City's participation of the needed construction and develop the bond issue. Inquired, if it were not for the Mall would the City need all this expansion at this time? Wurl advised not all of the expansion, but due to a change it will be for what the City will need ultimately, i.e. concrete for the headworks. Councilwoman 1-1:orris asked, should Council not approve the City portion requested, would the Mall developers continue with their portion of construction. Wurl - yes; however this would not address some of the specific problems with the exist- ing plant, one of those is the electrical aspect.
