Roll call vote: <br />YES: Fauson, Ferrera, Cummings, <br />Morris, Cussen, Leary, Heier. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary commented that when a <br />portion of an ordinance is changed on first <br />reading that it be crossed out; underline <br />what is added so that Counci1members can <br />easily determine the changes or additions. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier read the proclamation in its <br />entirety. <br />Councilman Leary inquired if there would <br />be any acitivities associated with Volunteer <br />Recognition Week. <br />Director Hioco advised on April 23, 1982 <br />a tea will be given honoring approximately <br />25 volunteers in our City.- Friday afternoon. <br />Hioco also stated he would be pleased to <br />have counci1members participate. <br /> <br />Each member of Council had a copy of the <br />resolution, memorandum of agreement, and <br />letter from Larry Thompson, President of <br />Stairs, Inc. explaining his business intent. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution <br />in its entirety. <br /> <br />Advised Council his business is presently <br />located in Lafayette,emp10ys approximately <br />14 people, and because of growth plans to <br />build another building - purchase land and <br />locate in the CTC industrial area; has <br />been in business 10 years. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Horris moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that Resolution #14 - Inducement <br />Industrial Revenue Bonds - Stairs, Inc. be <br />adopted. Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that the City Attorney's report be <br />accepted and piaced on file. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />
