<br />4/6/82 <br /> <br />Page -12- <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Leary that the streets be closed from <br />Jefferson to Lincoln, and on Jefferson <br />between Walnut and Spruce to accomodate <br />the Firemen. Question called for. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ADMINIS- <br />TRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that the City Administrator's re- <br />port be accepted and placed on file. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Notion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS & CO~1ITTEE Thanked the members of the American Legion <br />REPORTS for the Proclamation for Vietnam Veterans <br />Councilman Cummings and asked that everyone participate in the <br />weekend of May 7, 1982. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen <br />Water Truck <br /> <br />Wished to obtain the feelings of council- <br />members relative to purchasing a water <br />truck for the Parks & Rec. Dept. from the <br />Homart/Kahan funds. It was his hope that <br />$20,000.010 of these funds could be used <br />for this purchase for this summer. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />Advised that various options were being <br />considered about the possibility of pur- <br />chasing a tractor/water truck, thereby <br />being able to utilize it more than 4 months <br />out of a year. <br />Administrator 'wurl also expressed his desire <br />to meet with the Street Department and pur- <br />chase something that would serve all purposes. <br />Councilman Cussen requested that the options <br />discussed be presented at the next council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br />Joint Meeting with Lafayette <br /> <br />Inquired if Lafayette had been contacted for <br />a joint meeting on the clinic planning. <br />AdministratorWurl advised the interested <br />people had been contacted - now are trying <br />to get an evening when everyone can attend. <br />Mayor Burger and Councilman Arinello from <br />Lafayette are the designees, and Mayor <br />Meier and Councilman Leary of Louisville, <br />along with two representatives from Community <br />Hospital are the other designees. <br />
