4/6/82 Page -7- Mayor Heier Remarked that Mr. Keller, when the L.D.C. was initiated, made statements to members of Council that he would generate his own funds. He stated he would not be in agree- ment, due to :Hr. Keller's statement, with any portion of the $25,000.00 being spent for the Executive Director's salary. Councilman Leary Commented he \-wuld like to be given some specific time lines on the revitalization of the downtown area; be assured when the next $25,000 was allotted to the L.D.C. they would be able to provide $25,000 in matching funds, and with the third allot- ment of $25,000 there would be some tangible things done. Kirk Badger Invited councilmembers to meet with the L.D.C. Board to review their program. He stated that staff was involved with all the meetings that have been held. $10,000.00 ALLOTTED TO L.D.C. Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Cummings seconded that $10,000.00 be allotted to the L.D.C. to initiate the concert effort for raising additional funds. Question called for 6 Ayes - 1 Nay. Mayor Meier dissenting. Motion carried. STUDY SESSIONS Councilman Leary suggested each councilmember note specifics they would have incorporated in the agreement with L.D.C. and these be discussed from 7:00 P.~1. - 8:00 P.M. at the April 12, 1982 study session, and the remainder of the study session be spent on open space discussion. BOULDER VALLEY POW WOW LIQUOR LICENSE Councilman Leary inquired if this would re- quire a special use review since this is on agricultural land. Attorney Rautenstraus advised that it would not, but lil70uld check it. Councilman Fauson Expressed his concern about selling liquor when children are participating in the events such as the Little Britches Rodeo.
