<br />4/6/82 <br /> <br />Page -7- <br /> <br />Mayor Heier <br /> <br />Remarked that Mr. Keller, when the L.D.C. <br />was initiated, made statements to members <br />of Council that he would generate his own <br />funds. He stated he would not be in agree- <br />ment, due to :Hr. Keller's statement, with <br />any portion of the $25,000.00 being spent <br />for the Executive Director's salary. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Commented he \-wuld like to be given some <br />specific time lines on the revitalization <br />of the downtown area; be assured when the <br />next $25,000 was allotted to the L.D.C. <br />they would be able to provide $25,000 in <br />matching funds, and with the third allot- <br />ment of $25,000 there would be some tangible <br />things done. <br /> <br />Kirk Badger <br /> <br />Invited councilmembers to meet with the L.D.C. <br />Board to review their program. He stated <br />that staff was involved with all the meetings <br />that have been held. <br /> <br />$10,000.00 ALLOTTED <br />TO L.D.C. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilman Cummings <br />seconded that $10,000.00 be allotted to the <br />L.D.C. to initiate the concert effort for <br />raising additional funds. Question called <br />for 6 Ayes - 1 Nay. Mayor Meier dissenting. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />STUDY SESSIONS <br /> <br />Councilman Leary suggested each councilmember <br />note specifics they would have incorporated <br />in the agreement with L.D.C. and these be <br />discussed from 7:00 P.~1. - 8:00 P.M. at the <br />April 12, 1982 study session, and the remainder <br />of the study session be spent on open space <br />discussion. <br /> <br />BOULDER VALLEY POW WOW <br />LIQUOR LICENSE <br /> <br />Councilman Leary inquired if this would re- <br />quire a special use review since this is on <br />agricultural land. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that it would <br />not, but lil70uld check it. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Expressed his concern about selling liquor <br />when children are participating in the events <br />such as the Little Britches Rodeo. <br />
