3/2/82 Page -13- APPROVAL Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Cum- mings seconded that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the form approving the Public Service easements. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried 6-0. BROCK LETTER - RE: AQUARIUS Administrator 'Wurl advised there have been numerous discussions with the Aquarius people regarding their property - have tried several times to work out an agreement on the purchase of the property, but were unable to do so. It was his opinion now their interest was what the city's posi- tion is as they are getting pressure from other interested parties. Cliff Brock, Representing Aquarius Corp. Mr. Brock stated in October of 1981, other parties had contacted them to purchase the property. He was in attendance to again offer the property to the City of Louisville, as it is designated as open space in the comprehensive plan. If the City is still interested in purchasing all or part of the property, he had been instructed by the Aquarius Corp. to negotiate with councilor staff to reach an agreement. Administrator Wurl stated if Council is interested and wished staff to proceed to develop something to present to them Council should give their instruction to do this. Mayor Heier moved, Councilman Cummings seconded that staff be instructed to enter into discussions with the Aquarius people for council's consideration and information. Councilman Leary Agreed staff should begin discussions with the Aquarius people, but felt a work session should be held on how to finance the pur- chase of the property. Suggested, since Mr. Brock had implied he would be willing to make a presentation to Council, perhaps this should be done to inform new councilmembers of what has trans- pired, etc. Also was in favor of staff discussions.
