Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Reported representatives of the project had <br />indicated they would be present, but did <br />not appear at the meeting. Each member of <br />council had a copy of the detailed outline <br />of the project. Administrator Wurl stated <br />basically they are requesting permission to <br />fly over the city at lower altitudes than <br />is permitted by F.A.A. to conduct meteorol- <br />ogical studies in the area of severe thun- <br />derstorm research, and need council's authori- <br />zation for the Mayor to sign their memoran- <br />dum of agreement for low-altitude flight. <br /> <br />Had called the N.C.A.R. people on the phone <br />and gave council a detailed report of the <br />project. <br />Attorney Rautl~nstraus reported the City <br />would not be liable for any accident of <br />the low flying aircraft and council could <br />either approve it or not oppose the project. <br /> <br />Expressed her disappointment that represen- <br />tatives of the project were not present <br />to answer several of her questions. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded the Jaws Project be tabled until <br />the representatives can brief council on <br />this project. Question called for. All <br />in favor. Motion carried 7-0. <br />Mayor Meier instructed Administrator Wurl <br />to write a letter to the representatives <br />of the project to appear at the next council <br />meeting to give council more information. <br /> <br />Chairman Robert Hinsberger reported two <br />vacancies exist on the Louisville Housing <br />Authority Board; also he would resign after <br />the next meeting and there would be another <br />vacancy. <br />
