<br />Michael Schnatzmeyer <br />725 Mead St., :/f2 <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS APPROVED <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />RESOLUTION :/flO - VILLAGE <br />SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER - P.U.D. <br />A~ENDMENT GOLDEN RECYCLE <br /> <br />STAN GRAHAM - SUBSIDIARY <br />OF COORS CO, GOLDEN COLO. <br />REPRESENTATIVE OF GOLDEN <br />RECYCLE <br /> <br />2/16/82 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />Each member of council had a copy of letters <br />of interest from Carl Schmidt and Michael <br />Schnatzmeyer. <br /> <br />Advised counci.l he felt this was an opportun- <br />ity for him to provide a service to the com- <br />munity that would befitting of his background <br />as an architect. <br />Mr. Carl Schmi.dt was not present. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Horris moved, Councilman Cum- <br />mings seconded Carl Schmidt and Michael <br />Schnatzmeyer be appointed to fill the <br />two existing vacancies on the Louisville <br />Housing Authority Board. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution <br />in its entirety. <br /> <br />Director Rupp showed slides of the area <br />and location for the recycle operation. <br />He advised that Planning Commission had <br />approved the resolution by a vote of 4-3 <br />with conditions. Staff's recommendation was <br />that the recycling operation should be con- <br />tinued inside the Safeway Store. <br /> <br />Advised council their business was to recycle <br />aluminum cans and place them on convenient <br />sites in neighborhoods rather than in industrial <br />areas. At present they are in business with <br />Safeway. Dumpsters are chained to the recyc- <br />ling machines to avoid them from being moved <br />throughout the parking lot, and the machine <br />is bolted to the parking lot so that wind <br />will not tip it over. It weighs 3,000 lbs. <br />empty. Denver Can Bank, Inc. will maintain <br />the machines 7 days a week as well as keep <br />them clean and provide money for the customers. <br />Their company pays Safeway 2 3/4c;: per pound <br />for the use of the parking lot, to wash the <br />machine and take care of the trash. Should <br />the machine malfunction - customer to call <br />the company and a check will be sent to them. <br />The machine will also have its own lighting. <br />
