Stated he too 1Nished the facility could be built in Louisville, but would like the City have the 6 acres available to them a little longer in hopes they might change their mind about locating in Lafayette. Inquired if Louisville chooses to support Community Hospital and Lafayette chooses to support St. Anthony's what happens then. Councilman Fauson Administrator Wurl Advised this would be addressed at our next Council meeting if this develops. Councilman Leary Inquired if Council supported the Cornnunity Hospital resolution - could this be done with the understanding that the final site would be subject to our approval. Tanner advised basically it would be a mutual agreement of all parties involved. '~torney Rautenstraus Commented it was his opinion a letter be obtained from Community Hospital stating that since they had altered their plans the City of Louisville was not bound by the terms of the agreement relative to this property - to be held open for them until July 1, 1984. CONDITIONAL APPROVAL Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded that Council essentially endorse the resolution that was passed by the Board of Directors of the Community Hospital with the understanding Community Hospital will consult us previous to the approval of a final site selection. Question called for. All in favor. lvIotion carried 6-0. Leary felt Lafayette was putting us in a squeeze and suggested a study session with them to improve relations between the two cities. He also remarked the two cities try to come to an understanding that before either city engages in any type activity that has significant impact on the other
