<br />2/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -10- <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris <br /> <br />assumed the COInmun~ty ~Hos.pitalAssociation <br />would publicly say that are agreeable. <br /> <br />Stated he too 1Nished the facility could <br />be built in Louisville, but would like <br />the City have the 6 acres available to <br />them a little longer in hopes they might <br />change their mind about locating in Lafayette. <br /> <br />Inquired if Louisville chooses to support <br />Community Hospital and Lafayette chooses <br />to support St. Anthony's what happens then. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl <br /> <br />Advised this would be addressed at our next <br />Council meeting if this develops. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Inquired if Council supported the Cornnunity <br />Hospital resolution - could this be done <br />with the understanding that the final site <br />would be subject to our approval. <br />Tanner advised basically it would be a mutual <br />agreement of all parties involved. <br /> <br />'~torney Rautenstraus <br /> <br />Commented it was his opinion a letter be <br />obtained from Community Hospital stating <br />that since they had altered their plans <br />the City of Louisville was not bound by <br />the terms of the agreement relative to <br />this property - to be held open for them <br />until July 1, 1984. <br /> <br />CONDITIONAL APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that Council essentially endorse <br />the resolution that was passed by the <br />Board of Directors of the Community Hospital <br />with the understanding Community Hospital <br />will consult us previous to the approval <br />of a final site selection. Question called <br />for. All in favor. lvIotion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Leary felt Lafayette was putting us in a <br />squeeze and suggested a study session with <br />them to improve relations between the two <br />cities. He also remarked the two cities <br />try to come to an understanding that before <br />either city engages in any type activity <br />that has significant impact on the other <br />
