However, <br />if the City wished them to line the pit <br />with plastic they would be happy to do so. <br />Norris <br />Councilwoman/inquired if the actual well <br />site itself is uphill from the ditch how <br />the reserve pit can be placed downhill <br />from the ditch. <br />Bernel explained that the reserve ditch <br />would be dug deep enough that the water <br />level would not get up that high and there- <br />fore, would at: all times be below the ditch <br />level. <br /> <br />CAPPING OF THE WELL <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen inquired what the fox hill <br />consisted of - rock or clay? <br />Bernel replied sandstone, which is approxi- <br />mately 600' down and is a good aquifer. <br /> <br />Mayor Meier inquired what the procedure is <br />for lining the pits. <br />Bernel reported a layer of plastic is used. <br />Meier inquired in the event the well is not <br />successful and it has to be capped, is there <br />any problem with the corrosiveness of either <br />the gas or th4~ ground water coming up thru <br />the well that would cause any problem with <br />the plug. <br />Bernel reported the State has very stringent <br />requirements :Eor plugging wells - cement plugs <br />must be set across all zones that are poten- <br />tially productive of anything. <br /> <br />FOX HILL <br /> <br />LINING OF THE PITS <br /> <br />STORAGE TANKS <br /> <br />Councilwoman ]Morris inquired how many storage <br />tanks are there on the production site? <br />Bernel stated if the wells are successful <br />his estimate 'would be 2. <br /> <br />PIPELINE <br /> <br />Councilman Leary requested an explanation <br />of how the pipeline people relate to the <br />work, when they move in, what the general <br />procedure is as to their relationship to <br />them - our relationship to them in terms <br />of easements, etc. <br />
