Councilman Heier LANDSCAPING AUTHORIZATION FOR MEDIAN IS- LANDS FROM MAIN ST. TO JEFFERSON AVE. BROCK WATER AGREE~lliNT AUTHORIZATION ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ADMINISTRA- TOR'S REPORT 11/17/81 Page -8- Remarked that he favored putting in the lesser amount of median islands where the pedestrian counts were higher, until the major thoroughfare fund showed more revenue. Administrator Wur1 recommended that the median islands be constructed from Hain St. to Jefferson at a cost of $16,625.00, which would work in conjunction with the signal light and provide safety for the highest pedestrian counts. Engineer Blanchard advised that in the long range planning of the median islands lands- caping costs were included without a sprink- ling system. The widest area of the median islands would be 16', narrowing down to a 10' pocket for a left turn bay. Councilman DelPizzo moved that authorization be given to construct median islands from Main St. to Jefferson Ave. on South Boulder and to be funded through a lease-purchase and repaid through the major thoroughfare fund. Seconded by Councilman Cuoonings. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried 4-0. Administrator Wur1 to report back to Council what the time frame on the construction of the median islands would be at the next Council meeting of December 1, 1981. The request was for authorization for the Mayor and Clerk to sign the agreement to purchase 12 shares of Davidson Ditch water from Mrs. Eva Brock. Councilman Meier moved that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the agreement to purchase 12 shares of Davidson Ditch water from Eva R. Brock. Seconded by Councilman Brown. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried 5-0. Councilman Cummings moved that the City Administrator's report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. All in favor. Motion carried 5-0.
