<br />RESOLUTION #26 - BUDGET <br />APPROPRIATIONS 1982 <br /> <br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ATTORNEY'S <br />REPORT <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilman Domenico <br /> <br />Councilman Meier <br /> <br />ISLAND ON SOUTH BOULDER ROAD <br />AND CENTENNIAL DRIVE <br /> <br />11/5/81 <br /> <br />Page -11- <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution <br />in its entirety. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Resolution <br />#26 - Budget Appropriations 1982 be adopted. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />5-0. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved that the City <br />Attorney's report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />It was his op1n1on that the Stop signs <br />on Front St. were not very effective. <br />Engineer Blanchard stated speed limit signs <br />would also be done and the police dept. <br />would be checking it more closely during <br />the rush hours. <br /> <br />Inquired when Boulder County District I <br />ends and District II will take over on <br />maintaining the roads in our area. He <br />requested that staff advise council of <br />this at the next meeting - particularly <br />Delaney Road. <br /> <br />Stated he had received several complaints <br />about not having a signal light on South <br />Boulder Road, consequently had contacted <br />City Engineer Blanchard on an alternative. <br />Each member viewed a sketch of a permanent <br />island at Centennial Drive and South Boulder <br />Road. The pedestrian traffic count was <br />heaviest at this intersection. The length <br />of South Boulder Road will eventually have <br />islands, but in the meantime the one island <br />would enable pedestrians to cross half <br />of South Boulder Road in lieu of trying <br />to cross 73' of road. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that City Engineer <br />Blanchard be authorized to proceed with <br />the study of one island at South Boulder <br />Road and Centennial Drive, along with <br />
