Emily volunteered that the City is in the process of
planning the 2023 budget and that the City might have to use some
reserves for fire recovery. Emily thought that budget requests might
have to be smaller but that we could argue for any budget request.
Emily said that the City is budgeting for municipal decarbonization,
specifically through solar installation and fleet electrification. Emily
suggested that we compile a list of requests and then send this to
her. Todd suggested that we begin with high-level requests, filling
in details later as necessary. Megan inquired about the timing of
budget requests. Emily replied that capital requests over $5000
need to be made within the next month and that operational
requests need to be made within the next two months. Emily added
that the current budget contains $5000 to finance home energy
[II
