<br />6/16/81 <br /> <br />Page -10- <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico <br /> <br />Was particularly not in favor of the =11=6 <br />item connecting the water systems for <br />emergency purposes nor any of the other <br />phases of the agreement. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Was in favor of discussion with the city <br />of Lafayette, but expressed concern with <br />the administrative costs involved with <br />ulitity services being provided by Lafayette <br />to the POW WOW but our staff not being com- <br />pensated for billing, etc. <br />Administrator Wurl advised perhaps an agree- <br />ment could be reached with Lafayette to <br />do the billing - since this program for <br />their corrrputer is already established. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings <br /> <br />Inquired about the outside city rates to <br />the POW ~WW - the $11,600.00 tap fee, and <br />wished to review the regulations and codes <br />concerning water and sewer usage. <br />Administrator Wurl advised POW WOW was aware <br />of the outside fees - the $11,600.00 tap <br />fee included charges for water shares - <br />and the regulations and codes were basically <br />those of our city. <br />Councilman Cummings also expressed his con- <br />cern with item 5g stating Lafayette has <br />the right to revoke the water and sewer <br />tap on 30 days notice to Louisville if <br />there was a violation of the agreement. <br />Should this happen Louisville would be <br />required to provide these services. <br />Administrator Wurl advised Lafayette had <br />a moritorim on utility taps, but could sell <br />them legally to another municipality or <br />district. <br />Councilman Cummings then directed his question <br />to Marvin Sparn, representing the POW WOW <br />Association - if he felt comfortable with <br />the agreement regarding the utility services. <br /> <br />Marvin Sparn <br /> <br />Advised Council he was aware of all the terms <br />of the agreement - the volume of water the <br />POW WOW 1Nould be using would be relative <br />small for drinking purposes, the livestock <br />and landscaping would be watered from Hecla <br />lake, and he was satisfied with the agreement. <br />
