6/16/81 Page - 9 - STATUE TO REHAIN AS IS After discussion by council - Councilman DelPizzo moved that the Miner's Statue remain ~here it is. Seconded by Councilman Fauson. Roll call vote: DelPizzo Yes Brown Yes Cummings No Fauson Yes Domenico No Motion carried 3-2. POW WOW UTILITIES AND LAFAYETTE AGREEMENT Administrator Wurl advised that each member of council had received a memo relative to the City of Lafayette providing water and sewer facilities to the POW WOW grounds at a much lesser cost than if the utilities were provided by our City. Each me~)er of council also had a copy of a cooperation agreement initiated by the City of Lafayette for their review. Administrator Wurl was requesting council's consideration of the Pow Wow utilities as the time frame needed a prompt decision. He advised basically what the agreement stated was that the City of Lafayette preferred the water and sewer tap be pur- cased by the City of Louisville - and we in turn would sell it to the powwow. COUNCIL REMARKS Items 4,:5, and 6 were specifically the cooperation items which has been discussed by their council and would like to discuss with our council. 414. Dealt with negotiations for an agreement between the two cities relating to open space. #5. Dealt with improvements of South Boulder Road from Hiway 42 to 287, i. e. alignment and the time frame this could be accomplished. #6. Dealt with a development of an agreement connecting the municipal water systems of the two cities for emergency purposes. Administrator Wurl expressed in his opinion it would be beneficial to meet with the Lafayette government and discuss these negotiations. Mayor Caranci asked each member of council to state his opinion of the agreement.
