<br />6/16/81 <br /> <br />Page - 9 - <br /> <br />STATUE TO REHAIN AS IS <br /> <br />After discussion by council - Councilman <br />DelPizzo moved that the Miner's Statue <br />remain ~here it is. Seconded by Councilman <br />Fauson. Roll call vote: <br />DelPizzo Yes <br />Brown Yes <br />Cummings No <br />Fauson Yes <br />Domenico No <br />Motion carried 3-2. <br /> <br />POW WOW UTILITIES AND <br />LAFAYETTE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised that each <br />member of council had received a memo <br />relative to the City of Lafayette providing <br />water and sewer facilities to the POW WOW <br />grounds at a much lesser cost than if the <br />utilities were provided by our City. <br />Each me~)er of council also had a copy <br />of a cooperation agreement initiated by <br />the City of Lafayette for their review. <br />Administrator Wurl was requesting council's <br />consideration of the Pow Wow utilities as <br />the time frame needed a prompt decision. <br />He advised basically what the agreement <br />stated was that the City of Lafayette <br />preferred the water and sewer tap be pur- <br />cased by the City of Louisville - and <br />we in turn would sell it to the powwow. <br /> <br />COUNCIL REMARKS <br /> <br />Items 4,:5, and 6 were specifically the <br />cooperation items which has been discussed <br />by their council and would like to discuss <br />with our council. <br />414. Dealt with negotiations for an agreement <br />between the two cities relating to open space. <br />#5. Dealt with improvements of South Boulder <br />Road from Hiway 42 to 287, i. e. alignment <br />and the time frame this could be accomplished. <br />#6. Dealt with a development of an agreement <br />connecting the municipal water systems of the <br />two cities for emergency purposes. <br />Administrator Wurl expressed in his opinion <br />it would be beneficial to meet with the <br />Lafayette government and discuss these <br />negotiations. <br />Mayor Caranci asked each member of council <br />to state his opinion of the agreement. <br />
