3/19/81 Page - 3 - After discussion Council recommended that devE~lopers be made aware that all cantilevers, roof overhangs, patios, etc. be included with the site plan so that problems with set-backs will be alleviated, and that the building department not deviate from this policy. Boulder County Annex Administrator Wurl advised Council after the packets had been sent to them Boulder County had been negoti- ating for a Tri-City County facility and just before the meeting had chosen a facility in Lafayette on a tem- porary basis which was less expensive. JOHN HIGGINS - BOULDER COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES Stated their office had been contacted by representatives from Louisville and Lafayette who :cwe:r:e;QonGoerned__wit.h cut- backs in services in the tri-city area. As a result of this the County Com- missioners appointed a Task Force to pursue the feasibility of establishing a county facility in this area. In view' of this the County Commissioners had authorized the Public Works Dept. to purSUE~ with Louisville the annex- ation of the land owned by the County on South Boulder Road east of the RR tracks to build a permanent facility for the tri-city area. In the mean- time they felt it important to establish a temporary office in the immediate area. Two sites were looked at - the space in the building formerly occupied by Louisville Library across the street and one in Centaur Village. At a meeting on March 16, 1981 the COIIlInissioners voted to authorize he and Charlotte Houston of the Boulder County to talk with the City Councils of Broomfield, Louisville and Lafayette. The Commi.ssioners authorized $7,500 for a receptionist for the facility, and requested that Hr. Higgins and Mrs. Houston speak with the city councils to see if they could get a 3-part share of the remaining costs for 1981.
